Next Chapter Advice for Women

After many years of being a financial advisor, Kris Grossman saw that divorced and widowed women made up a large portion of his clients. He offered patience, kindness, understanding and advice as they navigated the next chapter of their financial lives. As a result, Kris has a specialty in working with divorced, widowed or otherwise single women.

We help guide and support women when they need it most. Whether you're divorced, widowed or never married, single women deserve specialized financial advice, perspective and care — all while being empowered to make their own decisions with empathetic guidance.

Kris' approach is non-judgmental, caring and friendly, exactly when our clients need that kind of treatment the most.

Widowed

Widows need 6-12 months before they are truly ready to make a decision (and sometimes more). We have experienced widows sometimes taking up to two years before they feel comfortable making decisions. However, during that time a lot of work can still be done that does not require decision-making. This transition period is when we proactively work with our widowed clients to get organized as they enter the next phase of their financial lives.

Divorced

While going through a divorce, we are a calm voice in what might be a stressful environment. We guide, comment and serve as a sounding board, while also helping make sense of all the streams of information you're receiving.

After a divorce is finalized, we work to tackle the necessary financial logistics and help you get familiar with your new situation, and simultaneously encouraging you not rush into decisions.

Single

Single women have different and wide-ranging priorities and there is no such thing as "one size fits all." We listen to your goals and determine what's important to you before considering any path forward.

Hear from our clients...

“Kris has been instrumental in helping provide guidance as I navigate the next phase of my life.  As the one in the household who did not manage the finances prior to my divorce, it was a steep learning curve. Kris was knowledgeable, patient and able to explain my finances in terms I was able to easily comprehend. He has given me the confidence to manage my own finances and has made me feel empowered for my monetary future.”

“I have been a client for a few years. After the loss of my husband at a younger age, it was suggested to see a financial planner. A close friend, and also a client, referred me to Kris and Dave. Upon meeting them, I immediately felt a comfort level of trust, patience, personalized attention, and having my best interest as their major concern. Complex concepts are simply explained in understandable terms and always available to review portfolios and answer any questions. Having my investments under one umbrella makes my life more manageable. They understand unique goals and life values and make me feel confident about my financial future."
